M - Michael Mort - Principal/Sales Manager

Michael Mort - JMW Real Estate

Michael, the youngest of the three principals at JMW, has 11 years experience in Dunsborough real estate which is complemented by his prior association in advertising, promotions and sales with the Western Australian Tourism Commission.

When they first moved to Dunsborough, Michael, his wife and their two children became the live-in management team of of Whalers’ Cove Villas (a short stay development comprising 20 strata units) for which they built an enviable reputation as the most sought-after tourist resort in the district. This has afforded Michael an unparalleled knowledge of not only this category of property but the Dunsborough locality and its surrounds.

Michael is known within the team as a quiet achiever. He is a team player who provides continual inspiration to younger members of our group and is never underestimated by his peers who acknowledge his desire to provide outstanding service. As a result he succeeds in any task he undertakes. Michael’s honesty, attention to detail and vast knowledge of the real estate industry in the South West are attributes which clients are drawn to.

His previous involvement with the WA Tourism Commission as well as his sporting connections as a former player for the Subiaco Football Club and club coach of the Dunsborough Junior Football Club has given Michael a broad range of connection throughout the state. Combined with other contacts he has made since moving to Dunsborough, Michael has frequently generated "off-market" sales (in favour of our clients).

In 2000 Tony relocated to Dunsborough and has since worked with several larger agencies focusing on the listing and sales of residential properties. The “Down South” lifestyle and freedom was exactly what he was looking for. Tony enjoys golf, fishing and snooker.

Michelle Hosking

I embarked on a real estate career 19 years ago in Perth, succeeding as an award winning representative at both an office and state level.

As a family, we decided it was time to move south and take on a new direction and adventure in our lives. We moved to Dunsborough 14 years ago and built our first home.

This was initially a difficult decision as I had built a very successful career in real estate in Perth and was leaving behind family and friendships made over many years. But I can say that I have had no regrets.  The gain to our quality of life on all levels far outweighed what we had left behind.

As a family, we all became active participants in the local community and in doing so made many new friends.  Being an avid netball player, on a club and state level, for most of my life, I poured my passion and knowledge of the game into coaching one of the junior netball teams for Coasters, which was both a challenging and rewarding experience. My son at the time was a very keen basketball player and with no one willing to take on the role as coach, I became the coach.  That was a big learning curve as I had no idea what the rules were, and had to find out very quickly.

We also discovered that a coach was needed for one of the junior football teams, so my late husband put his energies and enthusiasm into coaching them.

As a member of the local Ducks Football Club, we enjoyed many social events, games and friendships.

With my passion for interior design, I enjoy imparting my skill to benefit clients on the presentation of their homes prior to selling, giving them the edge to gain the very best possible price.

I love the beach lifestyle here, and with golf, reading and tennis as my other interests, life is never dull.

To all my loyal past clients, I come back into the industry with renewed energy and passion, offering the same high level of service and professionalism you came to expect and trust. Joining the JMW Real Estate team ensures that I can again offer my clients the best service possible.

Paul Rumenos

Paul, originally from Manjimup, remembers the Busselton/Dunsborough/Yallingup region when he was a small boy. His parents owned a holiday cottage in Quindalup and the Cape Naturaliste region was always a favourite holiday spot for his family. Paul attended Christ Church Grammar School for 7 years as a boarder. He then went on to the University of Western Australia where he completed a Bachelor of Commerce and boarded at St Georges College. In this time at school and at UWA, Paul made many friends and acquaintances from all around the state. A keen sportsman and surfer, he spent a great deal of time in the Dunsborough, Yallingup and Margaret River areas surfing the South West coast with his mates.

Paul’s parents were clothing and general drapers in Manjimup and he worked their shop during school and university holidays. From a young age, serving and helping people became second nature to Paul. After finishing university, Paul worked for the State Audit Department before being appointed as accountant of the Health Services Credit Union for 3 years. The urge to get back into retailing saw Paul leave accounting, (although he still maintained his CPA status) and he commenced a highly successful business with his wife. Lou’s Decor in Balcatta specialised in curtains, blinds and manchester as well as retail and manufacture for 16 years. Paul and Lyndy sold that business and moved to the Busselton/Dunsborough area in December 1995. They opened their new business, Country Style Curtains and Home Decor in April 1996, serving the local district until they sold in May 2006.

For a while Paul went back to his accounting/finance background and became a qualified Finance/Mortgage Consultant. However his love of property, fuelled by his personal involvement in decorating homes for over 26 years, inevitably led him to inevitably become a Property Consultant.

Paul has also been greatly involved in community work and was president for 10 years of the ‘House Of Life’ in which he helped to raise funds to construct the Ronald McDonald House and Isolation Units next to Princess Margaret Hospital. Paul’s outgoing and friendly nature combined with his experience in business and commercial/accounting background and his years of friendships from school, university and in business, make him an ideal candidate for a successful career in real estate.

Lance Hart

Lance returned to Dunsborough in July 2009, having spent the last 12 months as Sales and Marketing Manager for a large land development group marketing a potential 9000 lot subdivision in Jurien Bay and a further 50 farmlets in Cervantes.

While Lance enjoyed his time in Jurien Bay his heart had always remained in the magnificent South West. He was initially attracted to the region, some 13 years ago to commence a teaching position after completing his B.A. Degree (Secondary Education). Lance also spent 1 ½ years travelling around Australia which made him even more aware of the benefits of living in the South West, particularly in Dunsborough. After 7 years of teaching Lance made the change to a career in real estate. During the same year, Lance completed his Diploma of Property enabling him to secure a Triennial Certificate which entitles him to carry on the business of a Real Estate and Business Agent.

The Dunsborough real estate scene is not foreign to Lance as he had already operated as a sales representative for a major firm in Dunsborough where he consistently won awards for listing and selling.

Some of Lance’s past-times include surfing, fishing, footy and tennis, which he finds time for when he is not busy servicing the real estate needs of his valued clients.
