Nature lovers have long since known the natural beauty of the Dunsborough Margaret River region. The Cape to Cape walk track is 135 km long and is located within the The Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park.
It is divided into 5 sections which range between 20 and 30 kms and takes in some spectacular scenery. A large number of shorter walks, both bush and coastal are within a short drive from Dunsborough.

With more than 1000 wineries in the Dunsborough area, this is a wine-loving paradise. The Margaret River wine region extends from Dunsborough to Augusta with plenty of wineries within 10 minutes of town.
Western Australian wines are internationally-acclaimed and numerous events are held each year that further promote the district including the famous Leeuwin Estate winery concert which attracts perfomers from around the globe.
There's no need to drive down from Perth when you live in the area.
Dunsborough Lakes Golf Course offers a real challenge for the discerning golfer, especially if the sea breeze is in. A unique feature of the course is it’s ten pristine lakes where black swans, ducks and other wildlife make themselves at home during various times of the year. These lakes expand over more than 12 hectares and create an aesthetically-pleasing spectacle as well as a challenging experience for all golfers. The course is situated just a few metres from the Indian Ocean, and on most days windy conditions make this a test of character as well as skill. With lakes and undulating fairways this interesting course offers plenty to competitive golfers.
The course was designed and created by Murray and Wride, who were recognised for their innovative strategies and joint philosophy on how the great game should be played. It includes four tees on each hole, allowing players to choose their degree of difficulty during a game.

Leisurely lunches over a slowly-matured bottle of red wine from some of the world’s best wineries are just part of the lifestyle that makes living in Dunsborough so attractive. There's nothing like the smell of two/four stroke blended with the aroma of clean ocean air as you head home with a full catch of fish just waiting to be eaten. The town is located close to many excellent fishing spots where inexperienced fishermen can get a taste of the good life and serious anglers can set their sights on something bigger.
Just up the road is Busselton Jetty. "Herring are prolific almost anytime, as are Skippy and Gardies. Bonito are regularly sought after on the early summer mornings out at the end and a few Blue Fin Tuna are usually seen each year also. King George Whiting along with a handful of John Dory's and Pink Snapper are caught when the weather is rough and even a Dhuie may be caught.
The coastal landscape that surrounds Dunsborough makes it a fantastic base from where you can enjoy a large number of surfing beaches. There is almost always a wave to be ridden (in all weather conditions) within 20 km of town. The area is world-renowned and attracts the world’s best surfers to the annual Margaret River Classic.
